As part of ongoing efforts to better engage Tacoma’s immigrant and refugee communities, the City Council recently established a Commission on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs. Seeking individuals with experience or expertise on issues that affect immigrant and refugee communities, the City Council seeks to fill 11 positions and one alternate position. Commission members would work with community partners to identify and advance positive outcomes for members of this diverse population.
The application deadline has been extended to Monday, Feb. 12, 2018. People of color and youth or young adults under the age of 25 are encouraged to apply.
