Tacoma City Councilman Doug Miller has been recognized by the National League of Cities (NLC) as one of the first 15 people in the nation to achieve the Gold level of its Certificate of Achievement in Leadership Award Program. The award is sponsored by the NLC Leadership Training Institute.
The NLC Leadership Training Council made its presentation of the award to Miller at a special recognition luncheon in Nashville, Tenn., at its annual Congress of Cities Conference.
The NLC, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is the nations oldest and largest municipal organization, with a membership of nearly 1,800 cities and towns of all sizes.
