Ivar’s Restaurants and Tacoma design firm BCRA announced this week the opening of a new Southcenter Ivar’s Restaurant location. Featuring a modern interpretation of the nostalgic Ivar’s maritime imagery, BCRA Interiors and Graphic Design integrated visually interesting interior design and creative graphic elements to enhance the Ivars image. A key design feature places emphasis on a visual cookline.
“BCRA spent a lot of time visiting our stores, talking with managers and staff, observing, counting, and watching before they ever proposed any ideas,” said Bob Donegan, President of Ivar’s. “And, perhaps most importantly, they got our quirky sense of humor and hid messages throughout the design that customers smile at when they find them.”
BCRA is 160-person professional services firm headquartered in downtown Tacoma with branch offices in Seattle, Wenatchee, and Alexandria, Va. They serve clients with architecture, civil and structural engineering, land use planning, interior and graphic design, strategic marketing and building forensics.
