Contractors have completed the first road improvements near the APM Terminals to make way for the Lincoln Avenue grade separation. Lincoln Avenue is a major arterial serving trucks connecting between Interstate 5 and Port of Tacoma Road. This $1.1 million FAST Corridor project is part of $30 million committed by local, state and federal agencies to eliminate the at-grade vehicle and train congestion that slows the movement of freight. An estimated $26.5 million is still needed to complete the entire grade separation.
