Metro Parks Tacoma announced today that KOMPAN, Inc. has donated $40,000 in outdoor equipment for Garfield Park. Two fitness areas will be added to KOMPAN playground equipment currently at the park as part of a community driven initiative from 2006. Core Circuit stations will be placed along the running track for cardio/core cross training, and an X-Ercise Zone, which includes a cluster of fitness equipment designed for stretching and dynamic movement for seniors, will also be added.
