Exhibit – Three Generations of Mexican Masters Opens in Tacoma

“Random Modern Gallery, in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Seattle and the Program for Mexican Communities Abroad of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, is presenting an exhibition titled Three Generations of Mexican Masters.The gallery has worked with the Consulate General of Mexico in Seattle, the ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, and the Mexican Institute for International Cooperation to bring the show to Tacoma. Over 70 works of 40 renowned artists will be exhibited in the 4,000-square foot gallery located in a former meat packing plant garage and refrigerators.The exhibition is from the private collection of Dr. Augusto Lodi and embodies the work of three generations of artists who have helped shape one of the most unique and innovative periods of Mexican art. Included are works from masters such as Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros and Jose Clemente Orozco.The exhibition will be open to the public form Saturday, March 4 through Friday, March 31, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Random Modern Gallery, 1122 Market Street in downtown Tacoma. The gallery entrance is located on Court D between 11th and 13th streets.An opening reception will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, with an Artwalk opening Thursday, March 16 beginning at 5 p.m.The exhibition is underwritten by M2 Innovative Concepts, Inc., the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Mexico, and the Mexican Institute of International Cooperation.For more information please contact the gallery at 253-383-5659.
