Jack Fabulich was elected president of the Port of Tacoma Commission by his fellow commission-ers at the first meeting in January.
Fabulich, the senior member of the commission, was appointed to the leadership role by a unanimous vote of his fellow commissioners. He was first elected to the Port Commission in 1977.
The other commission officers for the year 2002 are: Dick Marzano, vice president; Clare Petrich, secretary; Ted Bottiger, assistant secretary; and Connnie Bacon, assistant secretary.
Commission meetings, which are open to the public, are generally held at 4 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month.
The meetings are held at the World Trade Center Tacoma, at 3600 Port of Tacoma Rd.
