The Federal Way Performing Arts & Event Center will announce its first ever Performance Season on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Federal Way Council Chambers. Mayor Jim Ferrell will be on hand to discuss the much-anticipated Ribbon Cutting and Community Opening Day on August 19th.
The Performing Arts & Event Center welcomes neighbors, friends and their families to the inaugural ribbon cutting and community opening day on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Join Mayor Jim Ferrell for a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by the opening of the doors to the community for the first time in history. Following the ribbon cutting, guests will be invited to stroll through the lobby taking in the brilliance of the 30-foot- high glass-encased lobby with spectacular views of Mt. Rainier.
Festivities for the day include tastings from SAVOR, our onsite catering company, lectures and demonstrations in event rooms and an option to sign up for in-depth, behind-the-scenes guided tours of the entire center including the backstage.
After over 50 years of performing throughout the area, the PAEC welcomes our resident troupes on the stage for the first time. Come enjoy the Federal Way Symphony, Federal Way Chorale, Federal Way Youth Symphony, Tacoma City Ballet, Jet Cities and Harmony Kings and get a taste of the upcoming presenting season from our community groups in their new home.
The Performing Arts & Event Center is a full-service presenting facility entertaining 716 arts patrons in the theater and up to 450 visitors in three divisible event spaces.
Representatives will be on hand to answer questions about rental services and help you plan any upcoming events in your future. The PAEC Patrons Services will be open and brochures available to choose your season or individual show tickets for the resident arts groups or the upcoming presenting season. Free parking will be available.
