The Tacoma Fire Department has reported firefighters are battling a blaze at a two-story building located at 1610 S. G St. According to a spokesman, one floor has collapsed, and a second fire station unit has been called to the scene. As of 2:30 p.m., Yakima Avenue was blocked off between South 15th and South 17th.
