The Port of Tacoma has promoted Scott Francis to the position of director of real estate.

He joined the Port in August 2011.

Francis has more than 20 years of experience in marine terminal facility management, maintenance and operations. His experience also includes real estate sales and marketing, contract negotiations, property management and new business development.

Prior to joining the Port, Francis served as a local real estate broker, an operations manager for Washington State Ferries, an operations manager for Crowley Marine Services and a vice president of North Star Terminals in Anchorage.
