The Tacoma office of the Department of Revenue is holding a free New Business Outreach workshop to help new and small business owners understand how to report their state taxes.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 10, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Lakewood Library, 6300 Wildaire Rd. SW, Lakewood.
Revenue staff members will explain the states excise taxes, and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about how taxes specifically apply to their business.
Tax reporting classifications, deductions and sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements will also be discussed. Participants will receive a workbook which answers the most common questions, as well as copies of department rules and regulations.
