On Sat., Sept. 26, the City of Tacoma, in partnership with other local organizations, will host a Career Resource Fair to help citizens jump start a job search. This is an opportunity to attend career related workshops, and to learn more about community programs and resources available to assist with finding a job.
“We realize the job market is challenging right now and we want to equip citizens with the right tools and resources so they can be successful in their search,” said Human Resources Director, Joy St. Germain. “The focus of the event is on managing your career. Workshops will give tips and ideas to help participants define their personal and professional goals, and introduce strategies for taking charge of their own career.”
The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church located at 4818 Portland Ave. The following workshops will be available:
— Discovering your strengths
— Resume and cover letter development
— Financial resources
The Career Resources Fair is free and open to the general public.
