Harts Hometown Heroes

Harts Services is grateful for the contributions and sacrifices our veterans and their families make every day to protect our freedoms. We’re honoring veterans at various Rainiers Games this year as Harts Hometown Heroes. Our heroes will be honored with a standing ovation between innings, and receive 4 Summit Club tickets so they can take their family to the game in style! We will also be giving away one water heater to a deserving veteran.

On August 10th, Harts Services and the Tacoma Rainiers honored Selena Coppa as part of their Hometown Heroes program. Sgt. Coppa served in the intelligence and security command during the initial invasion in Iraq. Coppa served eight years of wartime service before medically retiring due to injuries. We thank Selena Coppa for her service.

Some of the other honorees this year include:

July 26th – Harts Services and the Tacoma Rainiers honored Steve Hice, who joined the army on his 18th birthday and was stationed at what was once West Germany. He was there for the fall of the Berlin Wall. He was then deployed to Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. After service, he returned to Tacoma where he’s been a train conductor for 31 years.

July 15th – Harts Services and the Tacoma Rainiers honored Army Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Stambach. As an Ordnance officer, she served in Fort Carson, Colorado; Camps Casey and Humphries, Korea; Fort Bliss, Texas; and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Amanda is a veteran of combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and will retire in January after 24 years of active-duty service.

Harts Services and the Tacoma Rainiers honored Sergeant Jacob Sullivan in late June. Sergeant Jacob Sullivan has served 14-years active duty in the United States Air Force. He was stationed all over the United States and Italy, while also being deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Sullivan is the youngest of nine children and currently serves at Joint Base Lewis McChord.

Harts Services greatly appreciates the freedom we have to live, work, and help people in our community, and we understand that freedom does not come “free.” We are beyond grateful to the military veterans, first responders, teachers, and other community leaders who sacrifice their time — and risk their lives — to keep us safe and prosperous. That’s why we offer a 5% discount on all of our services to veterans of the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, as well as police officers, firefighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and other first responders. We also extend this discount to senior citizens and teachers throughout the Tacoma & Seattle areas.
