The University of Washington, Tacoma, will offer a certificate program in Fundraising Management starting Fall 2005. A free information meeting for this certificate program will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. June 8 in the Tacoma Room (GWP 320) on the UWT campus.

Instructors and staff will be available to answer questions from potential students. The Fundraising Management program offers professional certification in nine months. Participants can learn the basics of fundraising and philanthropy, case statements, management, finance and major and planned gifts. This program reflects the changing trends and new directions in the field of fundraising and is designed for fundraisers, board members, volunteers seeking additional skills and those seeking careers in development.
