A memorial will be held this week for John Hathaway, the late political cartoonist and publisher of The New Takhoman, who passed away in June at the age of 69 (see “John Hathaway: A Tacoma gadfly’s voice goes silent,” Tacoma Daily Index, June 12, 2015).
“I just thought maybe we could get friends together and swap stories,” said Carolyn Perry, Hathaway’s longtime companion, who contacted the Tacoma Daily Index on Tuesday to ask if we would let readers know about the event.
The memorial will be held on Fri., July 10, between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., at Mountain View Funeral Home’s Celebration of Life Building (Willow Room), located at 4100 Steilacoom Boulevard SW, in Lakewood. More information is available online here.
