The July 14 study session will be a joint City Council/ Public Utility Board meeting. During the joint session, Tacoma Power staff will provide a description of the Smart Grid Project, a progress update of the grant funds submittal as well as an update on the surplus property process. As a second item, Tacoma Water will provide an overview of a regulatory requirement to add a new treatment method to the Green River water supply. During the regular study session, finance staff will provide information on the budget re-appropriation request. Additionally, under Other Items of Interest, Council will discuss the proposed amendments to the Planning Commission’s recommendations concerning the mixed-use centers amendment and the Law Enforcement Support Agency agreement.
The Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16.
