What happens when you mix singer/ songwriter with strong pop sensibility and structure? You get Joshua W. Turner. Joshua’s latest EP release entitled Dusk takes a very human approach on examining the light and dark aspects of relationships, dealing with regret and why everything begins and ends at home.
Joshua’s wife Erin Turner joins him on “Never Will (featuring Erin Turner) ” which is a heartbreaking duet between Joshua and Erin, written by Erin to her father. Recorded in his home studio, Joshua continues his DIY approach to music with writing, recording, producing, mixing, and mastering it all himself. The Dusk EP is available on all major streaming platforms and online stores.
About Joshua W. Turner: Joshua W. Turner is an indie singer/songwriter and producer based out of Tacoma, WA. His music is a solid mix between Ed Sheeran, Glen Hansard and Phillip Phillips.
Writing, recording and performing music for over 14 years, Joshua has had the honor of being involved in many aspects of the music business. Some notable mentions include performing live at SXSW in Austin Texas, The Viper Room in Los Angeles and The Hard Rock Cafe within various bands. Joshua has also performed on and produced over 7 albums that range from Hard Rock to Singer/Songwriter to Children’s Music. Joshua is an alumnus from both Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied voice and was awarded the Berklee Achievement Scholarship, and Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, where he studied guitar. In 2018 Joshua launched himself as a singer/ songwriter under his own name with his album BE OK and has been working hard on writing and recording music from his home studio with the goal in mind to land sync licensing placements in commercial ads, television and film.
Joshua resides in Tacoma, WA, with his wife Erin and two kids, where he writes songs for TV, film and commercial ads in his home studio. Joshua is a one stop shop singer/songwriter and producer who owns all rights to his songs.
