Kays House Restoration Project, Titlow Park (16-RCO78) ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for the Kays House Restoration Project, location in Titlow Park in Tacoma, WA will be received at the offices of the South Puget Sound Salmon Enhancement Group, 6700 Martin Way E, Suite 112, Olympia, WA 98516 until 1 pm, Wednesday October 14th and will then and there be read publically. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. Electronic proposals will be also accepted via email to lancew@spsseg.org in the form of a PDF file or files including scanned copies of the original signed non-collusion certificate and bid bond. Original signed copies must be produced prior to award of Contract. The objective of the Kays House Restoration Project is to completely demolish and dispose of a former private residence inclusive of a house, underground boat storage, garage, decking, asphalt paving, septic, well, underground storage tank, and concrete and rip rap bulkhead for the purpose of restoring natural shoreline process and to improve public health and safety, aquatic habitat, and recreational opportunities to this area of Titlow Park. Over-land access to the site is limited to 5 tons (gross weight); access for heavy equipment shall be via barge. The project also includes removal and remediation of contaminated soils and hazardous materials. Bidders should be advised that this project will require specific site safety measures, materials handling and disposal methods, and special certifications to fulfill the project scope of work. The Engineer's Estimate including the add bid items for this project is: $414,000 Contract Documents, including Plans and Specifications, are available for download from a share file site on Shannon an Wilsons website. This is a Prevailing Wage project. No proposal will be accepted from a Contractor who is not licensed in accordance with the laws of this State to perform the work herein described. SPSSEG reserves the right to reject any or all bids pursuant to Washington Law; to award a Contract for less than all the work if funds now available are insufficient for completion of the total project; to delay award of Contract pending any and all permit approvals to complete the project, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein; and/or to award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder. An optional pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 1pm Pacific Time at the project site for potential bidders and representatives of bidders. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is strongly advised. The project site is located within a public park and is accessible via a walking path leading north from the on-grade crossing at 6th Avenue and the BNSF rail line.
