Landau Associates, a geotechnical and environmental engineering firm with an office in downtown Tacoma, announced today it has acquired the Olympia-based geotechnical engineering consulting firm Bay Townes Geotechnical. Calvin McCaughan (pictured), founder of Bay Townes Geotechnical, will join Landau Associates as an associate and shareholder, and will continue to lead the Olympia office.
“The addition of our new Olympia office greatly enhances our opportunity to serve our clients throughout the south Puget Sound region,” said Landau Associates’ Tacoma Business Unit Manager Eric Weber. “Mr. McCaughan brings additional technical skills and exceptional leadership to our business unit and to our company-wide geotechnical practice.”
Established in 1982, Landau Associates is an employee-owned firm that specializes in geotechnical and environmental engineering and science, natural resources and permitting services. The company employs 87 people in seven Pacific Northwest offices.
