Leadership class to focus on schools

The next session of the Government Leadership Institute held at 5:30 p.m. on March 3 will focus on schools — specifically, some of the challenges facing the school district, officials, portents, and students. Presenters will provide an overview of the educational environment in Tacoma and discuss how Tacoma can address the important challenges facing our educational community today and in the future. The free session will be held at the Keystone Building in the Carwein Auditorium, 1900 Commerce St., on the University of Washington Tacoma campus. The Government Leadership Institute is a cooperative effort between the City of Tacoma’s Neighborhood Council Office and the University of Washington Tacoma’s Urban Studies Program.
