Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity will present the second installment of the organization’s quarterly film series at The Grand Cinema in November.
The Community Conversations Film Series began in August with a screening of the documentary The Unforeseen, followed by a panel discussion with local experts on the future of land development in Pierce County (see “Local Habitat for Humanity film series begins Aug. 10 at The Grand Cinema,” Tacoma Daily Index, July 31, 2015).
The series continues this month with a screening of the documentary Storied Streets, which explores the journey many face to find secure and affordable housing.
The event will begin with a half-hour networking session at 6 p.m. on Mon., Nov. 9, at The Grand Cinema, located at 606 S. Fawcett Ave., in Tacoma, followed by a screening of the film at 6:30 p.m., then a panel discussion featuring community experts. The event is free, but a five-dollar cash donation is suggested. All donations will support Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity. Reserve your seat online here.
The event is presented by Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity and the University of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran University Habitat for Humanity campus chapters.
