Diane Cecchettini, president and chief executive officer of MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, received the University of Washington Tacoma Nursing Programs Community Partnership Award at a Tuesday event celebrating the programs 10th anniversary.
Cecchettini was recognized for her contributions to the UW Tacoma Nursing Program, where she served as one of the first clinical faculty members and a guest lecturer for courses on leadership and management.
Cecchettini has been with MultiCare Health System for 12 years in various capacities, including executive vice president and vice president for patient services.
In 1993, she retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Air Force Reserves, after serving as a Flight Nurse in Aeromedical Evacuation for 21 years, including service during the Vietnam era and as a Troop Commander in Desert Storm.
