Due to construction on the Murray Morgan Bridge, the Dock Street stairs located on the south side of the bridge, near the intersection of 11th and A Street, will close on July 5 and will remain closed for an indefinite period of time. Signs will be posted at the top and bottom of the stairs notifying pedestrians of the closure. Construction to fix the lift span and restore vehicle traffic to the bridge started in mid-April and work is projected to be substantially complete by the end of 2012.
