Tacoma Power will soon embark on a project to replace the towers and power lines that cross the Narrows waterway. Two community workshops will give the public a chance to learn about the project and provide feedback.
The workshops will take place as follows:

– Tuesday, March 9; 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.; Gig Harbor Civic Center, Council Chambers, 3510 Grandview St., Gig Harbor.

– Wednesday, March 10; 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.; Skyline/Jefferson Elementary School Auditorium, 6501 N. 23rd St., Tacoma.

The replacement project is joint effort between Tacoma Power and the Bonneville Power Administration.
