The bottle drive fundraiser held Saturday January 13 proved to be a great success with over $700 being raised for the Genelle Hall playground. Just a reminder that hall is available for morning, afternoon and evening rentals. For more information, contact the Genelle Community Hall at 693-2216.
The upcoming Spaghetti dinner hosted by Genelle Recreation is being delayed until early March – more details to come! The wait will be worth it.
The proposed Noise and Unsightly Premises Bylaw 1317, voted on by residents from all rural areas in the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB), resulted in a “no” vote. The RDKB received 1,156 votes in opposition to creation of the bylaw at this time.
The Board of Genelle Recreation would like to remind “all drivers to slow down, especially at times when children are walking to and from bus stops.”
The next group skating session for Genelle residents is being held on
Saturday, January 21, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the Cominco Arena Kids Rink.
If your and your family would like to join in on the fun, a sign up sheet is available at Snow Trails and the cost is only $5 per family and refreshments will be served.
