Pierce County is accepting property nominations for the Conservation Futures program, which buys land or development rights to protect open space, timber and agricultural lands, wetlands, wildlife habitat and recreation lands.
Nominations are sponsored by nonprofit groups, cities, towns or County agencies, and by individuals who do not have interest in the land. The deadline to submit for 2010 funding is 4:30 p.m. on May 28.
