Nominees sought to fill Ethics Commission vacancy

The citizen commission responsible for promoting and upholding ethical conduct in Pierce County government is seeking to fill a vacant position. Although legal experience isn’t required, attorneys are encouraged to apply. The deadline for submitting applications is Feb. 3. Applicants for the volunteer position must reside in Pierce County and be registered voters.

Other criteria are that commissioners may not hold or campaign for elective office, serve as a political party of committee officer, actively support or oppose candidates for County office, or lobby, employ or assist a lobbyist.
