Ordinance would provide severance for employees affected by budget

City Council members are scheduled Nov. 15 to hear the first reading of an ordinance that would provide a severance package for eligible City employees who will have their jobs eliminated as part of the City Manager’s reorganization plan associated with the 2006 mid-biennium budget adjustment. If approved by the City Council, the reorganization would result in the elimination of 41 positions and 22.5 of those positions are currently filled.
