If you missed last week’s U.S. Open presentation to Pierce County Council, it can be viewed at various times on PCTV and online any time at piercecountytv.org/index.aspx?NID=346.
The one-hour presentation on June 27 featured Danny Sink, the United States Golf Association’s (USGA’s) on-site championship director, as well as other officials involved with planning for the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay in 2015. Over the next week, it will air on Pierce County TV on Fri., July 5 at 11:30 a.m.; Sat., July 6 at 9 p.m.; Sun., July 7 at noon; Mon., July 8 at 5 p.m.; and Tues., July 9 at 8 p.m.
The presentation, which will remain on the air for weeks to come, answered common questions about the 2015 U.S. Open, such as why the USGA picked Chambers Bay, when people can register to volunteer, when tickets go on sale, and what traffic impacts will occur in the University Place area.
PCTV is available on channel 22 on the Comcast and Click! cable systems, and channel 20 on Rainier Connect. A live stream and archived programs and meetings are available on demand piercecountytv.org. The channel serves Pierce County and the cities of DuPont, Fife, Orting, Puyallup, Sumner and University Place, as well as such partners as the Port of Tacoma and Sound Transit.
