Following a lengthy and thorough recruitment process, Peter Ansara has been named Director of Community Connections for Pierce County
Ansara most recently served as the Executive Director of the Korean Women’s Association and brings extensive experience in community programs. Previously, he held leadership roles with Prium Companies, LLC and Tacoma Housing Authority. In these roles he was responsible for overseeing a variety of programs and services that address in-home care, low-income housing, domestic violence, healthcare and other human services programs.
Ansara earned a B.A. in business administration from Columbia College, Columbia, MO and a Masters of Human Relations from University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2002 after 25 years of service. “I am honored to be part of Pierce County and the Community Connections team,” said Ansara. “I look forward to serving those who need it most, the most vulnerable and voiceless citizens of our community.”
