“Haven’t a Clue? Come See What We Do! is the theme for the Pierce County Community Services Open House from 12 to 4 p.m. May 12 at 8811 and 8815 South Tacoma Way. The public event is part of Pierce County’s National Community Action Month celebration, which highlights Community Action and Community Development Block Grant programs. Both programs assist low- and moderately low-income individuals, families and communities. Displays will feature programs and services provided by the department’s divisions, including Arts and Cultural Services, Community Development Services, Economic Development Services, Housing Services, Cooperative Extension and Community Action. Visitors will receive a map of display locations. Prizes and refreshments will be included.”
