Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2002-12, authorizing the approval of open space classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 18 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS3-01, Charles and Beverly Crow – Graham area)
Proposal No. 2002-13s, authorizing the approval of open space classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 21 North, Range 2 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS4-01, Rollin W. and Mary J. Morford – Gig Harbor Peninsula Area)
Proposal No. 2002-14s, authorizing the approval of open space classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, Township 20 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS5-01, Blair and Marian Cockerline, Puyallup area)
Proposal No. 2002-32, granting a non-exclusive franchise to Shore Acres Water Company for location of water lines on certain county-owned rights-of-way; and authorizing the County Executive to execute said franchise.

1. A message from the Executive, transmitting the following ordinances, which were approved and signed on March 19, 2002:
Ordinance No. 2001-45s, amending the Pierce County Comprehensive Plant to incorporate the new designations and maximum lot sizes in the Gig Harbor Peninsula Community Plan as adopted in Ordinance No. 2002-44S2; amending Section 19A.30.010 of the Pierce County Code (PCC) to provide for an urban sensitive resource overlay; amending Sections 19A.30.010 I., 19A.40.020 D.1. and 19A.40.050 A. PCC to increase the maximum lot size to one-half acre in the reserve-five designation; amending Section 19A.30.135 PCC to provide for a rural airport overlay; amending Section 19A.40.020 PCC to provide for a rural airport designation and a rural sensitive resource designation; amending the open space/greenbelts map, Section 19A.30.170 I. PCC; amending the generalized proposed land use map, Section 19A.30.230 PCC; setting an effective date; and adopting findings of fact.
Ordinance No. 2002-11s, amending Pierce County Code Title 18 A, the Pierce County Development – Zoning, to implement the amendments made to the Comprehensive Plan by Ordinance No. 2001-63s2; amending the Pierce County Zoning Atlas; setting an effective date; and adopting findings of fact.
Appointments
Proposal No. R2002-38, confirming the reappointment of one existing member to the Library District Board of Trustees (Vera Ann Northington).
Ordinances
Proposal No. 2002-27, ratifying the collective bargaining agreement reached with Pierce County Sheriffs Independent Guild, Local No. 1889; and amending the Pierce County Salary Classification Plan.
