Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2003-54s, amending Chapter 19D.140 of the Pierce County Code, Satellite System and Management Program and Dispute Resolution Process, by establishing timely and reasonable service criteria.
Proposal No. 2003-69, repealing Chapter 19D.120 of the Pierce County Code, Coordinated Water System Plan and Water General Plan; and adopting a new Chapter 19D.120, Coordinated Water System Plan and Regional Supplement 2001.
Proposal No. 2003-72, amending Ordinance No. 2002-112s, as amended; and increasing the 2003 budget for the Economic Development Department, the Corrections Department, and the Roads Construction Fund.
Proposal No. 2003-91, approving a land-lease agreement for real property at the Pierce County Airport – Thun Field with Thun Hangars Association; and authorizing the county Executive to execute said lease.
Proposal No. 2003-93, adopting a new Chapter 19B.30 of the Pierce County Code, the Frederickson Community Plan; amending the Comprehensive Plan, Title 19A of the Pierce County Code, to incorporate policies of the Frederickson Community Plan; setting an effective date; and adopting findings of fact.
Proposal No. 2003-94, implementing the Frederickson Community Plan; amending Title 18A of the Pierce County Code, Pierce County Development Regulations – Zoning; amending Chapter 18A.25, Zone Classifications and Use Tables, and Chapter 18A.35, Development Standards; amending the Pierce County Zoning Atlas; adopting a new Chapter 18B.120, Sign Design – Frederickson, and a new Chapter 18J.60, Frederickson Community Plan Area Design Standards and Guidelines; setting an effective date; and adopting findings of fact.
Message from the Executive
A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinance, which was approved and signed on August 14, 2003:
Ordinance No. 2003-65, enacting a new Chapter 2.109 of the Pierce County Code, Historically Under-Utilized Business (HUB) Program, a program to increase participation in county contracts for qualified businesses which have difficulty competing for county government business.
Appointments
Proposal No. R2003-110, confirming the appointment of four new members, and the reappointment of six existing members to the Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board (Michel Raymond, Alan Gill, John Miller, Pat OMalley, Pia Gardner, Sandra Oliver, Darrell Powell, Samira Shukri, Linda Smith and Helen Arnestad).
Proposal No. R2003-112, appointing __________, __________ and __________ to a committee to prepare arguments advocating voters approval of a sales and use tax increase for criminal justice purposes, and appointing __________, __________ and __________ to a committee to prepare arguments advocating voters rejection of the measure.
