Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2003-44, adopting a new Chapter 2.89 of the Pierce County Code, “Tacoma Narrows Airport Advisory Commission.”

Proposal No. 2003-52, adopting a new Section 8.08.075 of the Pierce County Code (PCC), “Violation – Penalty,” and amending PCC 17C.80.025, “Section 203 Amended – Violations” for the purpose of making certain violations of Chapter 8.08 PCC, “Public Nuisances,” and Chapter 17C.80 PCC, “Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings,” misdemeanors. (Criminal trespass)

Proposal No. R2003-61, confirming the appointment of 11 members to the Tacoma Narrows Airport Advisory Commission. (Councilmember Terry Lee, Carl Geist, Paul McCormick, Hugh Morgan, Brian O’Neil, Steve Osguthorpe, Mike Pickett, Harding Roe, Jay Shaddox, Deena Turmo, Ann Whittaker)

Proposal No. R2003-72, authorizing the Pierce County Executive to apply to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation for Funding Assistance for a land and water conservation fund program, to develop the second phase of the Cushman Trail in Gig Harbor; and to develop the Ashford Park in Ashford, as provided by the Washington Wildlife Recreation Program.

Ordinance No. 2003-10s, adopting a new Chapter 19B.90 of the Pierce County Code, the South Hill Community Plan; amending the Pierce County Comprehensive Plan, Title 19A of the Pierce County Code, to incorporate policies of the South Hill Community Plan and add a new high density single-family land use designation; setting an effective date; and adopting findings of fact.

Ordinance No. 2003-11s, implementing the South Hill Community Plan; amending Title 18 of the Pierce County Code, Pierce County Development Regulations – General Provisions; amending Chapter 18A.25, Zone Classifications and Use Tables, and Chapter 18A.35, Development Standards; amending the Pierce County Zoning Atlas; adopting a new Chapter 18B.140, Sign Design – South Hill, and a new Chapter 18J.50, South Hill Community Plan Area Design Standards and Guidelines; amending Chapter 18J.15, County-wide Urban Design Standards and Guidelines; setting an effective date; and adopting findings of fact.
