Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2002-85, vacating a portion of Alderton Puyallup Road in the Puyallup are in the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 20 North, Range 4 East, of the Willamette Meridian; in the Puyallup area.
Proposal No. 2002-86, vacating a portion of 94th Avenue Northwest located in the Northwest and the Southwest Quarters of Section 15, Township 22 North, Range 1 East, of the Willamette Meridian, in the Gig Harbor area.
Proposal No. 2002-87, amending Sections 4.32.070 and 4.32.080 of the Pierce County Code to increase the county enhanced 9-1-1 excise tax by twenty-five cents pursuant to the authorization set forth in House Bill 2925; adopting a new Section 4.32.090 of the Pierce County Code, Refund Procedure; and setting an effective date.
Proposal No. 2002-88, declaring certain county-owned and tax titled real property as surplus; and authorizing the County Executive to pursue disposal of the property by sale pursuant to Pierce County Code Chapter 2.110. (County-owned property located at 62nd Avenue East and 12th Street East, Fife, Washington; tax titled property located at 3214 South Ash Street, Tacoma, Washington)
Proposal No. 2002-89, levying an assessment in 2002, for collection in 2003, against land in Pierce County for the control of noxious weeds.
Proposal No. 2002-90, vacating a portion of unimproved Spanaway Loop Road in the Southwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 19 North, Range 3 East, W.M. in the Spanaway area.
Proposal No. 2002-91, vacating a portion of unimproved 50th Avenue East located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 1, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, Willamette Meridian, in the Frederickson area.
Action on Resolutions
Proposal No. R2002-100, declaring its intended distribution of national forest related safety-net payments between Title II and Title III of the Secure Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000.
Message from the Executive
A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinance, which was approved and signed on August 7, 2002:
Ordinance No. 2001-59s2, amending Section 2.97.020 of the Pierce County Code, Definitions and Section 2.97,080, Conservation Futures Covenants to limit the future use of properties purchased in the programs and to clarify the passive nature of allowed improvements on property purchased with Conservation Futures funds; and amending Section 2.96.040 to modify the membership of the Conservation Futures Program Citizens Advisory Board to provide a more balanced membership between incorporated and unincorporated areas.
Ordinances
Proposal No. 2002-66, amending Section 2. of Ordinance No. 2000-38, which vacated a portion of Crescent Valley Cut-Off right-of-way, located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 22 North, Range 2 East of the Willamette Meridian, in the Gig Harbor area, to correct a legal description.
Proposal No. 2002-67, amending Section 2. of Ordinance No. 99-75, which vacated a portion of 103rd Street East in the Summit area (A.P. Johnsons Estates), to correct a legal description.
