Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2002-83, granting a nonexclusive franchise to the City of Gig Harbor, a municipal corporation, for location of water lines on certain county-owned rights-of-way; and authorizing the County Executive to execute the franchise.
Proposal No. 2002-84, amending Section 8.88.460 B.2. of the Pierce County Code, regarding watercraft regulations for Alder Lake.
Action on Resolutions
Proposal No. R2002-92, initiating the process for amending Sections 18A.25.280 J., and the industrial use category of Tables 18A.25.100 G. and 18A.25.150 E. of the Pierce County developmental regulations by separating vehicle storage yards from salvage yards; referring these proposed amendments to the Planning Commission and Land Use Advisory Commissions; and setting a date for the Planning Commission to submit its report and recommendation back to the council.
Message from the Executive
A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinance, which was approved and signed on July 31, 2002:
Ordinance No. 2002-69s2, establishing a weight restriction on ten tons on Kapowsin Highway, from Orting-Kapowsin Highway East to State Route 161, during the period of August 1, 2002 to September 6, 2002, inclusive; and declaring an emergency.

Resolutions
Proposal No. R2002-85, finding the county’s participation in an interlocal agreement to form and operate a public facilities district with the cities of Tacoma, Fife, Lakewood and University Place to construct and operate a regional convention center, to be in the public interest and authorizing the Executive to execute the agreement.
