On Thurs., Oct. 9, the Port of Tacoma will host the first of four evening workshops designed to educate the public about the Port, its history, scope of operations, future development plans and the Port’s upcoming 2009 budget process.
The 90-minute workshops will be held in four locations throughout Pierce County on the following dates and times:
1. Tacoma – Thurs., Oct. 9, 5:30 to 7 p.m. The Fabulich Center, Room 104, 3600 Port of Tacoma Road
2. Puyallup – Thurs., Oct. 16, 5:30 to 7 p.m. City of Puyallup – City Council Chambers, 333 South Meridian
3. Gig Harbor – Thurs., Oct. 23, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Gig Harbor City Hall, 3510 Grandview Street
4. Lakewood – Weds., Oct. 29, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Gary and Carol Milgard Family HOPE Center, 10402 Kline Street SW
There will be time following each presentation for audience questions. For those unable to attend, a videotaped version of the workshop will be available online in the webstreaming section of the Port’s Web site beginning the week of Oct. 13.
