The Puget Sound Regional Council is now accepting nominations for its annual VISION 2040 Awards program through May 23, 2019. The awards recognize the excellent work being done to achieve the region’s growth, economic, and transportation strategy, VISION 2040.
PSRC honors businesses, local governments, and non-profit organizations who do creative work to provide transportation access and mobility, enhance our natural environment, bring jobs closer to where people live, focus high quality housing where the infrastructure needed to support it already exists, and improve the quality of life in the central Puget Sound region.
Previous award winners include Edmonds Highway 99 Subarea Plan, Kitsap Transit’s Passenger-Only Ferry Program, and Mercy Othello Plaza.
Award nomination materials are available from PSRC’s website or by contacting Michele Leslie at 206-587-4819, mleslie@psrc.org. Nominations will be accepted until May 23, 2019.
Snohomish County Councilmember Terry Ryan will be the chair of the Awards Selection Committee.
The awards will be presented to winners on location throughout the summer.
PSRC develops policies and coordinates decisions about regional growth, transportation and economic development planning within King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap counties. The Council is composed of over 80 jurisdictions, including all four counties, cities and towns, ports, state and local transportation agencies and tribal governments within the region.
