Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium will be closed all day Friday, July 19, for the annual Zoobilee fundraising gala.
On Saturday, July 20, the zoo will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.. It will reopen at 4 p.m. for the Zoobilee Encore family festival.
Zoobilee runs from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. July 19, and offers a night of dancing, music and food from Tacoma-area restaurants. Renowned Northwest blues musician Lloyd Jones will headline five stages of international acts.
While Zoobilee is just for grown-ups, the whole family can enjoy games, food and entertainment at Zoobilee Encore. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The zoo will resume its normal schedule on Sunday, July 21.
