The public is invited to attend a combined environmental hearing and informational open house about potential environmental effects of proposed improvements to Interstate 5 near Joint Base Lewis-McCord on Monday, Nov. 7. Commuters and residents are encouraged to participate and provide comments.

Displays that demonstrate the effects of building additional lanes and rebuilding key interchanges between Mounts Road in DuPont, and Gravelly Lake Drive in Lakewood will be available for review. Participants may provide oral or written testimony to a court reporter. No formal presentation will be provided.

The meeting will be at McGavick Conference Center, Clover Park Technical College, 4500 Steilacoom Blvd., Lakewood, Monday, Nov. 7, 4-6:30 p.m.
