Citizens are invited to comment on the Pierce County Aging and Long Term Care Area Plan update at a public meeting Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Soundview Building, 3611 S. D St., Tacoma.

The plan proposes strategies to address problems experienced by older adults and individuals with disabilities. It is revised every four years to help Aging and Long Term Care allocate resources and assist in the development of new services. Program funding categories include adult day care, dementia and family caregiver support, case management, home delivered meals and congregate nutrition, legal aid, senior centers, in-home care, information and assistance, Ombudsman Program, health promotion and specialized transportation.
