The City of Tacoma is inviting the public to share ideas and explore solutions that could better identify and locate parking garages in downtown Tacoma. Individuals attending a public workshop this week are invited to discuss solutions that could better identify off-street parking locations, such as signs and marking, mapping or other ideas, as well as discuss the garages themselves and how markings, signage and branding can improve the downtown parking experience. The discussion will also help craft further public involvement opportunities later this year as City of Tacoma staff plan for a 2015 effort to make its parking garages more accessible to downtown visitors. The meeting will be held on Thurs., Feb. 27, at 5 p.m. at Wells Fargo Plaza (Fountain Court), 1201 Pacific Ave., Suite C-5.
