Pierce County’s Job Sector Survey deadline has been extended to Fri., Aug. 19. The survey is a comprehensive, on-the-ground assessment of conditions for employers in Pierce County and the Puget Sound region. Results will inform elected officials, policymakers and community leaders when making decisions that impact the local economy. Pierce County’s Economic Development Division is partnering with the Seattle Chamber of Commerce and other economic development organizations across a four-county area to survey employers about their challenges and opportunities. All responses are confidential, but the business can elect to have its name listed on the final report.

The survey is online here — http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/jobsectorsurvey2011 . In addition, the survey is posted at http://www.piercecountywa.org/edd and a hard copy is available upon request. Each survey respondent will be entered to win two Southwest Airlines Green LUV tickets.

Since multiple organizations will be sending invitations, a single employer may get the survey from several sources. To verify data, participants will be asked to provide contact information. These details will remain confidential and no attribution to individuals will be made.
