Port of Olympia, Thurston County Economic Development Council, Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council and the Thurston Regional Planning Council will sponsor a mting to review the efforts of the Puget Sound regional Prosperity Partnership March 28 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Martin’s Worthington Center 5300 Pacific Ave. in Lacey.
Thurston Prosperity Partnership is a coalition developing a regional economic strategy for the central Puget Sound with a goal to design and implement a strategy to create 100,000 new jobs in the region by 2010.
At the March 28 meeting, Thurston County economic leaders will hear from Puget Sound Regional Council Executive Director Bob Drewel and Regional Economic Strategy Advisor Bill McSherry about the partnership’s plans for the region.
