Regional leaders representing Sound Transit and the Regional Transportation Investment District (RTID) will hold a news conference this morning to kick off a cooperative process that will result in the regions first-ever comprehensive transportation plan including transit and roads projects.
The news conference precedes a historic meeting, the first joint session with board members from Sound Transit and RTID that will outline the schedule and milestones for finalizing the Joint Regional Transportation Plan.
The RTID is a joint effort of King, Pierce and Snohomish counties to identify and fund specific road, transit and possibly light rail improvement projects of regional significance in the three counties.
