Tacoma City Council is scheduled May 19 to consider a resolution that would amend the Municipal Code to adopt a Right-of-Way Restoration Policy which would provide a systematic approach to restore infrastructure, improve performance of street and sidewalk restorations, limit accelerated degradation to the infrastructure, protect the infrastructure investment and reduce future maintenance costs. The Rights-of-Way Restoration Policy would establish a five-year pavement cut moratorium on newly constructed roadways and provide specific requirements for performing restoration within City rights-of-way.
