Dr. Pamela J. Transue, TCC president; Ginny Eberhardt, West End Neighborhood Council; and Linda Shaffer, Pierce Transit complete the dedication of a new sidewalk along Tacoma Community College’s 12th Street border at the Sept. 22 ribbon-cutting ceremony. The West End Neighborhood Council and Pierce Transit both collaborated with TCC and provided funds for the sidewalk. The sidewalk will benefit the community and TCC students, Transue said. “Countless students … will no longer have to traverse a well-worn, slippery dirt path, but will follow this safe, new route over this beautiful sidewalk.”
