Washington lawmakers approved the first bill of the 2002 session Wednesday when the House signed off on the work of the legislative redistricting commission.
The bill, suggested by state Attorney General Christine Gregorie, now goes to Gov. Gary Locke, who is expected to sign it without delay.
The legislation confirms political boundaries that were set after the commission missed last months deadline.
