Applications are being accepted for the 2018 Community Cleanup program. Tacoma residents may submit an application for their neighborhood by going to cityoftacoma.org/cleanup.
“The community cleanup program is a popular service in every neighborhood,” said Allyson Griffith, Neighborhood Enhancement Team Manager. “We are excited to partner with the community to bring garbage and shredding services to the residents again in 2018.”
The program offers each neighborhood area the opportunity to participate in a cleanup day. The City provides dumpsters for residential customers who live in single-family homes or duplexes on their neighborhood’s day to save a trip to the Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center by bringing items from around their homes to a neighborhood location.
Residents whose homes are located in the city of Tacoma limits can apply for their neighborhood by going to cityoftacoma.org/cleanup and download or print the 2018 application form. Completed forms need to be returned by Oct. 27, 2017 to the Neighborhood Enhancement Team, Community Cleanup (747 Market St., Room 108, Tacoma, WA 98402). Applications also can be faxed to (253) 573-2585 or emailed to agibilisco@cityoftacoma.org.
