Broadway Center for the Performing Arts and Exit133, a local blog covering city issues, will host a Town Hall forum for this year’s candidates running for the At-Large Position 8 seat on Tacoma City Council. The event will occur Thurs., June 21, at 7pm at Theatre on the Square, 905 Broadway, and will include candidates Marty Campbell, David Curry, Jonathan Phillips, and Marilyn Strickland.

“Tacoma residents have a lot to think about these days, so we decided it’s time for a little face time,” said Tacoma blogger Derek Young, in a messege posted on Exit133.com. “[It’s t]ime to take the mounting dialogue in our comments and on-line forums into a real-world discussion. We’re here to help the candidates make their positions known and let you decide.”

This year’s candidates are vying for a seat on City Council that will be vacated by Councilmember Bill Evans, who has served two terms.
